Back at it again. Made some changes to my model and it has done wonders. Hope to bring you guys some winning free MLB plays to kick off the first weekend of Summer.
Royals team total under 4.5 runs +102
In Cole Irvin we trust. The lefty went 6 1/3 IP and gave up just 1 ER in his last start vs these same Royals. I almost wanted to go OAK ML since Grienke pitches for KC and he implodes. I don’t trust the A’s offense. They’re dead last in OPS in June. I think Irvin can keep the KC bats quiet and pray the bullpen doesn’t fall apart.
Blue Jays team total over 4.5 -107
Even with the possible absence of George Springer, the Toronto bats are cooking. Manoah goes for the Jays today and their ML is also priced nice. However, I want to find better odds than -140 for you guys. Adrian Houser pitches for Milwaukee and he generally gives up 4 ER in each of his starts. I am weary of the lights out Brewers’ bullpen but I think the unfamiliarity between these two teams will increase the scoring.
Rockies/Twins over 9 -120
Marquez always gives up runs. Bundy was terrific last time but he is prone to giving up some runs as well. Both of these teams are in the top half of the league for OPS in June. I think the bats keep clicking against some average pitching.
Mariners ML +138
This is a price play. Those are decent odds for a divisional game. Flexen gave up 2 ER in last start vs LAA. Lorenzen gave up 7 ER in his last start vs SEA. I don’t anticipate that exact outcome again but I do think the Mariners will find success. Both of these teams have had quiet bats in June. SEA is 24th in OPS for June. LAA is 28th.
Phillies ML -124
Aaron Nola has been excellent all year for the Phils. Mackenzie Gore has been flat out awful in his last two starts. Both of these teams have hot bats in June. I get the big ballpark in San Diego but the game total is only 7. Seems fishy to me. Phillies handle lefties well. I think Nola shuts SD down.
